Best Route To Take - from Espi

Early game is fairly clear cut.

1. Take priority to upgrade Saw Mine to lvl 15 asap. Alternate in Town Hall upgrades as resources allow preferably up to 10-12. Any left-over resources opt for cheap upgrades (archer tower, spy-tower, market, wall, battle academy) and rush to 300 pts.

2. Construct second castle, upgrade Stone Mine/TH. Begin upgrading Stables/Infantry Camp in main castle to prepare for troop production. Once again, fill-in construction queues with cheap upgrades while saving up for the expensive mine upgrades (lvl 13-15).

3. Start troop production several days before protection ends, either archer -> paladin/HK combo or Braveheart/HK depending on playing style. For most, protection will end around at which 2nd castle is half to semi-full developed.

4. Once out of the bubble, take risks and liberally attack!, albeit profitably. Don't be afraid to trade troops for points if it means you will get that 3rd or 4th castle that much sooner. Ysabel by design never rewards sedentary, passive, defensive playing styles. ATTACK and PLUNDER!! (adhere and observe alliance treaties of course).

5. Rinse and repeat until castle 5-6 (3 weeks - 1 month), at which point a decision has to be made, or maybe it's already made for you and Ysabel has you by its grips.

To be able to sustain 6+ castles full queue throughout of round, you have to put in the hours, to plunder and maintain, I want to say (4 hrs+/day minimum), any less and you might as well just stop at 6 castles and concentrate on what you have.

If you are already at this and think you have what it takes to HOF-dom, the only thing I want to stress is KEEP ATTACKING. Ysabel is a game driven and influenced by warfare and the tension it brings, the best of you will only surface during those times of stress and turmoil!
