Four strategies for defending yourself - from Dr.Aborg
1) Stand and fight: As you have guessed - build your troops, build your wall,
your defensive bonuses, archer tower, ect --
there is a lot that goes into straight defending yourself,
but it takes a lot of time to get a sufficient defense - so what else can be done?
2) Stashing your troops: So what you can do while you build up your enemy is stash your troops -- you can reinforce any player -just click on a castle and hit reinforce --
so I typically reinforce a noble (one of those lord XXX guys). Nobles are strong enough that they are normally not attacked, your troops are safe!
So what about your resources?
one option - always spend them - never keep resources in house when you are away. If you are attacked excessively overnight - turn your mines off --
half of defense is making your place undesirable to attack - if they attack, get nothing 3 times in a row, they'll stop.. just not worth the time!
3) Newbie Protections: If you get attacked 5 times in a row, you can get newbie protection once again!
Just click on profile - then if your eligible you'll see a link for it. This gives you 3 days to get defense and plan strategies.
Join an alliance: Depending on the alliance you may automatically get a truce against other players or your alliance will stick together to give you extra trooops.
Ultimately, you and your alliance have to stick together and figure out a strategy to deal with the trouble makers.
But the key is to do everything you can to make sure they get no benefit in attacking you - whether its losing their army, or just getting nothing for their effort.
